Do you own a website?
If so, how much traffic do you produce?
For many small business owners, it’s not very much. In a world of paid ads everywhere, not everyone has the budget to bring tons of people to their site every day.
Luckily for you, there's a way to increase your traffic tenfold for completely free.
All it requires is a creative mind and a little work.
So, how exactly can you do this? Let me show you.
Use what you have
You most likely run a business because you’re great at what you do, right?
Meaning you’ll have a fountain of knowledge stuffed up inside your mind. This is the key to increasing your traffic.
“But how does knowing a lot of stuff do that?” You might be asking.
What you need to be doing is producing content, a lot of it.
Blog posts, LinkedIn articles, reels on Facebook and Instagram, tweets, and everything else you can think of—the more the merrier.
While producing a large volume of content, you’re going to notice something.
People start following along. More and more eyes are drawn to what you have to say.
So, if you want more traffic to your site, we need to do something with all those eyes. They won’t just look you up on their own.
Okay, so now what?
Every piece of content you put out needs to be linked to your site in some way, shape, or form.
Actual links to your site are also a good thing, I’ll touch on that in a moment.
If you create your content in a way that draws people to your site, you’re going to see some more traffic from there.
Now, remember those links? Those will play a huge part in your SEO, the same goes for any blogs you add to the site.
Sooner or later, you’ll be scoring higher and higher on Google. This means more traffic and potentially more sales for you.
Be careful
But beware…
Don’t create content that sacrifices relevancy for views.
That means no useless viral hooks that have nothing to do with your business or sneaky tricks that get people to click links for misleading reasons.
Doing these things will bring more traffic to your website, but at a great cost.
They will not buy, as they’re the wrong audience.
Your content needs to be as authentic as possible if you want to make the most of the traffic you produce.
Although we are looking to increase our traffic, we’re in the game for sales, not exposure.
